I am Balu Kasipogu, Founder of Tanori Hair LLP. When I entered the human hair industry, I wasn't backed by a famous brand or years of business reputation. I was a beginner with a dream, a willingness to learn, and an unwavering commitment to honesty.
Like many entrepreneurs starting from scratch, my biggest challenge wasn't finding customers it was earning their trust.
The Biggest Challenge: Convincing People to Trust a New Company
Starting a new company is never easy, especially in an industry where buyers invest significant amounts of money from thousands of miles away.
Many international customers had experienced inconsistent quality, poor communication, or suppliers who failed to deliver what was promised. Naturally, they were cautious about placing orders with a new exporter from India.
I understood their concerns because trust cannot be demanded it must be earned.
Instead of making unrealistic promises, I focused on being transparent, answering every question honestly, and helping customers understand our sourcing process, quality standards, and commitment to ethical business practices.
Those early conversations laid the foundation for everything Tanori Hair represents today.
The Customer Who Changed Everything
One moment in my journey will always remain unforgettable.
My very first international customer was a salon owner from Florida, USA.
Before placing an order, we spent time on a video call where I introduced myself, explained our company, shared our manufacturing process, and answered every question she had. Rather than trying to sell, I simply wanted to build confidence through honesty and transparency.
She decided to place a trial order.
For me, that order represented much more than a sale. It was an opportunity to prove that a new company could deliver exactly what it promised.
We carefully prepared her order, maintained clear communication throughout the process, and shipped it on time.
When she received the hair, she was impressed with the quality, consistency, and professionalism.
Just 15 days later, she placed a bulk wholesale order.
That moment changed everything.
It wasn't only our first major international order it confirmed that trust, consistency, and quality would always be the strongest marketing tools for Tanori Hair.
Even today, I remain grateful to that customer for believing in a new company when very few others did.
Why "Tanori"?
Choosing the right name was just as important as building the company itself.
Before launching the business, I spent a great deal of time researching names from different languages and cultures. I wanted a name that reflected beauty, elegance, and confidence the very qualities our customers want to deliver to their own clients.
During that research, I discovered the name Tanori, a name associated with being stunning, dazzling, and ravishing.
It perfectly represented the beauty, confidence, and transformation that premium human hair brings to people around the world.
From that moment, the name Tanori became the identity of our company.
